Client Reviews & Blog

Our puppies live all across Canada - from Vancouver Island to Whitehorse and all the way to Nova Scotia.  We've even got pups in the United States.  We work closely with each client in helping them choose their puppy.  It is our greatest thrill to place a healthy, well-socialized puppy into loving forever arms - what a blessing!

In many respects, our puppies and their new families become like our extended family and we have received many, many puppy updates from our wonderful clients.  This page showcases just a few!

FINNEGAN ( Canmore, AB

"We are crazy about Finnegan, he is the smartest pup we have ever had - I think he is almost human!  Finnegan remains the light of our life."

DIEGO ( Surrey, BC )

“Diego has been real real sweet!  So friendly and calm.  He loves to eat and he’s always around his feeding bowls.  My friends and family love him!”

RUFUS (North Van, BC)

“Just wanted to let you know that our little Rufus is just the dearest little boy.  He truly is sweetness itself.  He is a really wonderful dog.  I couldn’t have wished for a more loving or entertaining canine best friend.”

ZOOM ( Kelowna, BC )

“Zoomy is so cute that people stop me on the street and ask about him all the time.”

CALI ( Penticton, BC )

Cali came to us in our time of need ... going through cancer treatments.  She has the biggest heart of any dog I know and she has become our joy and our ‘honnybear’.”

ANNABELLE ( Kamloops , BC)

“Annie as we call her is growing and is a happy rascal”.

SADIE ( Calgary , AB)

“We thought you would like to hear that the vets at the clinic we go to have all commented on what a great pup she is."

FINN ( Vernon, BC )

“We adore Finn and are so happy that he is part of our family!  We are all crazy about him – he is such a lovey!”

TIA ( Vancouver , BC)

“She is sooooo smart ... and cute.  We love her very much.  She takes me out for exercise whether I like it or not!”

WILLOW ( Kamloops, BC )

“I hope you are having a nice fall and are looking forward to the holidays. I thought I would just send along a little Willow update. She is such a joy to have - we love her to bits!”

CHARLIE (New West, BC)

"He's about 90 lbs of fun loving fur. He's great with my kids...and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He just wants everyone to love him!  He frightens some people just by his size...but he's just a big goof."

LUCY ( Toronto , ONT)

“Just a quick note to let you know that Lucy has adjusted to urban living very well.  She is a very social and outgoing puppy who loves to play!  We are having lots of fun together and she has made many friends at the off leash parks.  It is so true that people know the dog but not owner as people in the neighborhood recognize her during our walks and stop to say hello (to her).  Thank you again for all of your support and information throughout the adoption process!”

MAGGIE ( Langley , BC)

“We live in Langley BC and are just about to adopt our second puppy from Wild rose Kennels. We had such a good experience the first time that we are coming back for more.  We got our first Labradoodle about 4 years ago. We've had dogs all our lives but have come to the conclusion that the Doodle has by far the most character of any breed we've ever owned. You just can't beat the mix of intelligence and loyalty. Talking to Cynthia you can see just how much love and attention these puppies receive. Wild Rose involves you right from birth with photos and updates. They also send a lot of info, not only for the puppy rookies, but a lot of really good tips for the people who thought they knew everything.  I found Wild Rose Kennels to be reasonably priced and with their delivery to the lower mainland, it not only helps with the cost, but I think it is easier on the puppies who need to be shipped.  I would highly recommend this kennel to anyone looking for a new addition to the family.”

KALI ( Langley , BC)

“Cam and Liz got engaged last night.  It was so awesome.  Cam came up with this all on his own.  Who would have known he had a little romantic bone hiding somewhere.  When the new puppy arrived yesterday Liz was at work.  Cam got a silver charm for her bracelet in the shape of a heart and had it engraved with ‘Marry Me’ on it and put it on the puppy’s collar.  When Liz arrived home he waited in the bedroom while the puppy ran to the door and greeted her.  When she read the charm she turned around to ask him what the???  He went down on one knee and said (get the klenexes out!!!!)  “Liz, your my best friend and my soulmate.  Will you spend the rest of your life with me?”  and gave her the prettiest ring I have ever seen."

BEEKER ( Surrey, BC )

“I mostly impress people with how smart I am - I know SO many commands and I listen to them.... often. I can sit, lie down, settle (lie all the way down on my side), I can come and ring a bell to go outside, I can bring different toys by name, AND my food bowl (which I often do without being asked just to make sure everyone knows I'm interested), I wait for grace and I can go to my pen or go to bed. I can heel if I'm really excited or nervous to go somewhere (like the basement) but outside on walks I want to lead, not heel. I like to lie on people's feet while they watch tv or burrow under the sofa. I get in trouble for digging the lawn sometimes, but I love to lie in the sun and survey the lawn.”

RILEY ( Abbotsford, BC )

“I just wanted to tell you a little bit more about Riley who just happens to be the BEST DOG IN THE WORLD!  We were so impressed when we got Riley.  We have given you so much praise to everyone we have met as Riley was so calm and so well socialized when we received her.  She was comfortable being held, rolled upside down, we could touch any part of her body without a blink of an eye from her....she loves both dogs and people equally...she is perfect.  Riley is our first dog as a couple and so we have been strict with her training as she will eventually be a city dog with many distractions.  She sits and lays down on command (and does so to meet people as well...though that is if she can handle the excitement).  She wags her tail so hard it throws her body around and makes it physically difficult to sit.  And not just for Erin and I...for every person and dog she sees!  She loves everything!, she sits before every door we bring her through, rings a little cow bell we nailed a few inches off the ground by our door to let us know she needs to go outside, leaves and drops things on command, and heels very well (we still need food to keep her from choosing strangers over heeling though;).  Every trick or disciplinary command we have taught her she has learned within 2 hours of training.  Erin taught her to fetch in no time.  She does it very well with distractions outside as well!  We are in the process of teaching her some nouns so she can learn to clean up her toys (put them in her toy box) and fetch my slippers or her leash ;-).  We frequent the dog park often to continue her doggie socializing and walk her a lot.  She is excellent off leash and very obedient.  We are in the process of weaning her off of food training with all the distractions around.  She is almost there!  She is the best, smartest, cutest, most loving dog I have ever had.  She gets so much attention from everywhere she goes be that down the street, at the dog park, or anywhere else!  She just loves to please us and she certainly has.  She is such a joy to Erin 's and my life and we love everything about her.  We couldn't imagine our life without F2 Peaches.  You have given us the perfect dog.”

YAGGER
Just wanted to share some photos with you of Mr. Yellow who we named Yagger. He is such a funny dog and he is such a ham. For the first week all he wanted to to do was snuggle it was soo cute. He is now in fully puppy mode. He is so playful and is getting use to the water. He likes to make our other dog jump in the  lake for the stick and just as she reaches shore steal it from her. LOL its really funny. He is great with the kids and every morning he loves to wake us up for our morning walk/ run. He also comes to baseball with us and has fun with the other dogs. He loves everybody!!!! And if another animal doesn;t like him he will make them LOL. :)  Take care and Thanks for our wonderful dog he is such a joy! McM Family

"He is my other eyes that can see above the clouds; my other ears that hear above the winds. He is the part of me that can reach out into the sea. He has told me a thousand times over that I am his reason for being; by the way he rests against my leg; by the way he thumps his tail at my smallest smile; by the way he shows his hurt when I leave without taking him. I think it makes him sick with worry when he is not along to care for me.

When I am wrong, he is delighted to forgive. When I am angry, he clowns to make me smile. When I am happy, he is joy unbounded. When I am a fool, he ignores it. When I succeed, he brags. Without him, I am only another man. With him, I am all-powerful. He is loyalty itself.

He has taught me the meaning of devotion. With him, I know a secret comfort and a private peace. He has brought me understanding where before I was ignorant.

His head on my knee can heal my human hurts. His presence by my side is protection against my fears of dark and unknown things. He has promised to wait for me... whenever... wherever — in case I need him. And I expect I will — as I always have. He is just my dog. "

I just want to thank Cynthia for the most wonderful experiance of adoption. We adopted one of the micro mini's and picked him up at the kennel. The place was very well organize and maintained and we felt so welcome. We have had our puppy now for 2 wks. Dex has settled in very well, and has become fast friends with our other dog. Our older dog has started to protect the little guy Dex was pretty much housed trained when we got him and very social. Has had the odd accident. He loves my flower beds, if he's not eating the flowers he's digging and there fenced....lol..I love the curiosity, he is also very cuddly and sleeps on my head when we go to bed, my hair must remind him of his mom, he needs it and finds his spot and goes to sleep...Thanks again for the lovely intro to the Labradoodle.<br /> Cynthia Ferguson

Greetings Cynthia,<br /> <br /> This is Ross, Jessica's partner in crime. I'm compelled to send you a friendly update on Mr. Green, the coolest little puppy in the land...<br /> <br /> We're delighted with the little guy, and think he's pretty happy too (not too happy that he's going to become the alpha male of the house, but healthy <br /> and energetic and safe in his surroundings). He loves his crate and goes into it regularly (including night sleeping). He loves playing with toys, even showing some tennis ball retriever like skills! He's mischievous and <br /> exploratory; loves daily trips to Jesssica's kindergarten class (she brings him most days); and is starting to really enjoy going for walks on a leash.<br /> <br /> It's going to be a challenge to maintain his positive learning, but we're excited and keen to make sure he continues to be the best little obedient <br /> guy he can. The vet tells us he looks healthy, and will be giving his vaccination to him when due. We gave him his de-worming medicine recently.<br /> <br /> Anyhow, we just wanted to extend a thank you for your thoroughness and kindness.... and gift, our little Avo :)

His name is Ollie. As I'm guessing you are Christians too, I just wanted to let you know that Ollie had his first day as a 'therapy' dog in my alternate school today....he greeted about 40 teens as they arrived and they all fell in love with him except for 1 girl. Later this girl was crying inconsolably and after talking with her a while, I asked her if she wanted to snuggle Ollie for a few minutes. She spent about 10 minutes holding him and crying and then was able to get back to class. In addition we saw the most smiles EVER from a student who has autism and has difficulty socially. This student spent lunch hour playing with Ollie and we were all near tears watching him outside our staffroom window. Ollie gratefully crashed into his kennel after breaks and will hopefully settle into our routines quickly. God uses us where we are and He will use Ollie too.....blessings to you who have blessed me too. Patricia in Kitimat

Hi Cynthia and Brian, We arrived home with Stella about 9 p.m. on Sat. She was an excellent traveler and has been doing extremely well with her potty training (okay so maybe it's us being hyper vigilant!) as she hasn't had an accident in the house or at school yet. She was such a hit at school....we're thinking we need to keep her around as a therapy dog! Three of our most difficult students were at the office today...a fetal alcohol boy with one arm who can get very loud and resistant decided he didn't want to upset Stella by being loud and after his work was done he would come in for a visit with her....another fellow with severe aspergers who can be quite aggressive with others did his work so he could spend time with the little princess!...and I could go on. She's such a credit to her upbringing...everyone could tell she was raised with love and is beautifully socialized already at such a young age. She is bringing us, and the people around us such joy. The two older dogs are tolerating her! She has spunk but the right amount of respect so when she's a pest, they get up and move. They have become very sucky and we have taken great pains to let them know they have not been displaced! All in all, it's been a love fest around here and I want to thank you for all the hard work you put into Stella.

Hi Cynthia, its Jennifer, Bella's mommy :) I just wanted to drop you a line to tell you how much we love our Bella. Its like she has been with us forever. What a beautiful and smart girl she is. She already knows, sit, shake a paw and today she rang the bell for the first time! I did take some pics of her with my son Michael, but I have lost my phone so when I find it, I will be sure to send you some. I did however, ignore one of your suggestions and she does sleep with me at night. Yes, I have heard this is not a good idea but I cant help it ....lol....anyways, thank you so much for taking such good care of your animals that you raise. Its so nice to know that people like you are out there. Best wishes to you and your family, Jennifer, Michael and Bella

This is the most chillin' puppy I have ever met. I came home yesterday after having to be away all day and she had taken the tea towel off the oven door and put it on the floor (I have ceramic tile) and pooped on the tea towel. Talk about easy cleanup! My Gawd. I just couldn't believe it. I know, you're laughing at me. Believe me, I'm laughing at me. Caesar Milan says you don't get the dog you want, you get the dog you need. Well, I guess God has smiled on me and sent me Jasmine. I will always love Shasta with all my heart but room has been made for Miss Jasmine already and I think she is an amazing dog. Thank you for my new girl. Deanna

I finally have a few minutes to send you a little update on Miss bubbles (aka Lexie!) WE LOVE HER!!!!!!!!! She is such a gift to all of us and has added a tremendous quality to our family life. She is so calm, smart, loving, gentle and BEAUTIFL!! Of course you know all this, but just to confirm what you were saying all along :) She spent the whole night in her crate last night with no waking up (our latest achievement) and she does well with house training and chewing appropriate things. The girls adore her and it has dramatically changed them for the better. They are very responsible for their stuff now - it no longer lies around! They take their job of teaching her manners very seriously and it has take the focus off of them, which has been great for their maturation. Lauren (our sensory needs child) is so much happier since Lexie came to us - she can get all the love, attention, soft touch and active play she needs. Lexie is such a gift to us - I'm grateful the universe led me to her (and you!). I haven't taken many pictures yet - will do so soon and send you some. Stephanie

We adopted Micah at Easter and he is now 4 and 1/2 months and such a wonderful pup.<br /> This guy is smart, gentle, loving now the focus of our lives. He comes from such a great parentage that you just know that the care taken by Wildrose makes for a terrific best friend. Thanks over and over again to Cynthia & Brian for our new addition.

I am the proud Mom of two Labradoodles that were brought into the world by Java(Denver's Mom) and Trinity(Ryder's Mom)<br /> All of my experiences with Wildrose Kennels were without a doubt absolutley wonderful.<br /> Our first dog Denver who is now 5,<br /> is a truly gently soul with such a loving heart. He is a huge chocolate boy, and I am so lucky to have him in my life..........<br /> It is because of him and the wonderful experience that I had with Cynthia, that we decided to adopt a second puppy from Wildrose. Ryder is a cream colored boy with the sweetest temperment,a very loving dog.<br /> He also is a cheeky monkey and constantly makes us laugh.<br /> My boys are very different from each other, but they both are incredible dogs. They are very good with children, and where we live people know them and since they are large dogs,we get requests from parents to meet our dogs as their reputation as being gentle giants is well known.<br /> I would just like to add that I can sincerely recommend Wildrose<br /> as they brought two incredible dogs into my life, they provide plenty of information and help you through all the adoption process. They are extremely kind and you can tell by their voices in the videos that they truly love what they do. Thanks once again Cyn for my boys. <br /> <br /> Sue<br /> <br /> Super proud Mom of Denver & Ryder

we have had Biscuit for just over 3 years now. she is our satandard 1st gen. labdoodle! she is so pretty and fluffy! strangers comment all the time on her very pretty looks! She does everything with my 7yr old... they are the best of friends and comletes our family. what surprised us the most is how she talks.... not barking, but loud yawns, mooing with stretches, sqeaks and squaks during her dreams.. and her favorite is trying to bark with a ball in her mouth which just sounds like a cartoon dogs voice!! she makes us giggle constantly! she started life as F4 yellow and is now our own 'poodle doodle' as my son calls it!!! thanks, the Harris family

2013 - Two years ago you sold us our very first labradoodle. You asked me a million questions because as you said you were "finding the right match". Well, Bella, as we named her is crazy. She keeps us on our toes constantly looking for the things she hides from us. She is undecided about things, one day she wants to play, other days she will sit at home being lazy and not moving a muscle. She will play "catch" when she wants to , not when we want her to and she is constantly barking at the people walking by our home. She is the most perfect dog in the world for us! And I thank you tremendously!!! I have had other dogs before , and of course have fallen in love too, but this dog, she is different. I think you are like a match-maker for the labradoodle industry lol. As a family, we have been going through a rough patch lately, and so tonite I was looking at Bella, just thinking ~ She has been the glue in our family relationship most definatly and I just wanted to let you know. You didn't seem like a "breeder" to me. You left her with a blanket and you took time out of your evening to introduce us when we came to pick her up, so I thought that maybe you would enjoy hearing the outcome of your work. Plus, I did want to say thank you for making our lives, and probably everyone else who gets these wonderful animals, better. <br /> <br /> Yours Truly , Jennifer and Michael <br />

I want to let you know we named her Maddy (of course after<br /> Maddison, who referred us). She is such a lovely smart pup.<br /> She has never yet had an accident at night. She gets me up<br /> about 4am to go pee and then sleeps thru till 7 am. She is<br /> doing really well in that department. She does have the odd<br /> accident during the day, but she is only 9 weeks. She is<br /> growing so quickly. We introduced her last weekend to our<br /> cabin on the lake. You would have thought she had been there<br /> 1000 times. She slept in our ensuite like she does at home and<br /> felt very comfortable. I have a childs gate up at the ensuite door<br /> and if there is an accident it is on tile, so not a big deal, but like<br /> I said never has been. I take her bed with us and she seems to<br /> be very happy. Our cat let her know that his tail is not a play<br /> thing, and Maddy respects that now. She absolutely loves being<br /> outside in the back yard, but she is not allowed out yet by herself<br /> as we have a lot of hawks around here and I am a bit nervous.<br /> 2013 - We are so thrilled with her and her sweet personailty, we love<br /> her to bits. I will keep you posted on her status. Thanks, Bev<br />

Hi Cynthia, rnrnHope all is well with you and your family. I've been meaning to write for some time to thank you for the best dog in the world! Miss Rainbow, Echo, as we call her, is very much enjoying her new home and family and we couldn't be happier with her. She is very sociable, loves kids and her neighbourhood doggie friends. We also met her brother, Mr. Bones, aka Elby. Turns out Elby's grandparents are our neighbours and the two dogs met this summer when Elby's family was visiting. It was so cute. I think they really remembered each other. Small world. Anyhow, here are some pics so you can see how much Echo has grown and how much she is enjoying life.rnrnThanks againrn

Hi there, I hope all went well with a hard time on Friday and over the weekend. I just wanted to take a minute and give you an update on our puppy! We decided to name her Addison, and we absolutely love her! She is such a good girl and she has been progressing well with training, a few accidents inside but she barked at her bell when she wanted out yesterday and waited for us, she is starting to get it! She is really good in her kennel and did really cry at all (although we set our alarm and let her out twice a night to avoid accidents!). I am extremely happy with the quality of pup and the service we received from your kennel. You get a glowing review and we highly recommended you to anyone who asks about her. We will have to stop by for a visit some time to let the dogs play and you can see her again! Thanks again and talk to you soon, -Tyrell and Christine.

Hi Cynthia ,rnrnWe came home safely. Gucci ( we named him "Gucci") was a so good boy. No whining , barking or crying he made in car . No littering too. Hi Cynthia, rnrnI have been meaning to e-mail you but time got away from me. We LOVE miss pink. We renamed her Mulan. She is doing excellent at sit and sometimes shakes a paw. We are currently working on stay. She loves to play with her brother. rnrnI wanted to ask you about the health guarentee. The copy you mailed me still include the non-breeding contract without stipulation that we can breed later on once we speak to you and pay for the paper. Do we need to do anything about this? rnrnAlso - too funny! The place where we got Sullivan from got his mother from another breed near Listowel. They have another female dog they breed which is one of Jade's pups apparently! Such a small world. rnrnHope all is well and look forward to hearing from you :) rnrnRebecca rn

Our Finn just turned 12 and he is still going strong! People are always shocked to hear that he is not a pup but a senior! He is aging well and still loves to go on hikes, camping and to the beach. He can't go as long as he used to but that doesn't seem to diminish his enthusiasm for life. His health has always been excellent- no trips to the vet other than for check ups and shots. He has grown up with our childrenand is our fourth kid. When my son left for university two years ago, I asked him what he missed about home. His response : "Random dog snuggles." When he skypes with us, Finn is always part of the call, so excited to hear his boy's voice. Thank you for the gift of our Finnyboy. He has been such a blessing to our family. We would not hesitate to recommend your business to others seeking a new family member.
